Visiting Professor Program

The Visiting Professor Program is coordinated by Dr Sat Somers. The program incorporates a minimum of eight Visiting Professors a year, and an attempt is made to cover all areas of radiology each year. Speakers are chosen based on their expertise of the subject, and excellence in teaching. Each Visiting Professor gives three lectures and shows board-type cases to the residents. These teaching sessions are open to all radiologists, residents, technologists, nurses, and any healthcare professionals who are interested. The presentations are webcast and archived so any healthcare professional who is registered can view the presentations live or later. CME credits are given to attendees who complete the evaluations. To get on the mailing list, please send your contact details to Marilynn Scott at scottm@mcmaster.ca

The titles for the presentations are selected by consensus from a list provided by the speaker. Radiologists with an interest in the area, and residents, provide input into the final selection of the topics. To encourage networking, resident and faculty members are invited to dinner with the Visiting Professor.

Suggestions for Visiting Professors are always welcome.
