Case of the Month

The Department of Radiology’s Case of the Month initiative enables medical learners to build core interpretive skills while emphasizing clinical relevance by reviewing real, high-yield cases.  This initiative uses a a semi-guided approach with prompting questions and a step-by-step methodology for reading images.

A didactic case will be issued on the 1st of each month. Learners will have the first week of that month to work their way through the case at their own pace.

An interactive live Zoom review session will take place during the second week of each month led by a resident or attending physician in which they will provide:

  • a walkthrough of their approach to the scan,
  • cover the relevant differential diagnoses,
  • hold a Q and A session for students regarding the material covered.

Recordings of the review session will be posted to this website for those unable to attend the live session.

We encourage you to join this initiative and hope you find these cases educational!
