Fellowship Overview

Welcome to Department of Radiology Fellowship Program

McMaster University, Department of Radiology offers a variety of fellowship-training programs in several Radiology Subspecialty Areas within two academic hospital systems – St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Hamilton Health Sciences.

All centres within the two systems that are involved in fellowship training programs, have state-of-the-art imaging infrastructure in all modalities, performing a large volume of studies offering a unique learning experience based on evidence-based medicine with varied patient demographics and medical specialties.

McMaster University is a world-renowned centre for excellence in clinical care, education and research. Fellowship programs are based at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Hamilton General Hospital, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre and McMaster University Medical Centre. Each site offers a unique fellowship learning experience producing highly-skilled radiologists who excel in either the academic or community hospital setting upon completion of their fellowship training.

All Radiology fellowships involve one year of intense training provided by fellowship-trained radiologists certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with Faculty appointments with McMaster University, who practice subspecialty-based Radiology. Clinical Fellows are involved in resident and medical student teaching, multidisciplinary rounds and research projects.
